Angola Balloons Aloft - 2013
Welcome to the 4th Annual Angola Balloons Aloft Official website. The Event Committee is planning another exciting year with some amazing entertainment in the sport of hot air balloons and aviation. So plan now to attend Angola Balloons Aloft on July 12 and 13, 2013 in Angola, Indiana at the Tri-State Steuben County Airport, 5220 W US Highway 20. The balloon pilots returning to Angola this year are some of the area's finest pilots and will be competing for cash and prizes in this annual invitational while they fill the sky with their dazzling sight of colorful balloons. Other entertainment for 2013 will include skydiving, remote controlled aerial displays, Kid's Fun Zone and lots of great food and retail vendors. Weather conditions permitting, there will be launches on Friday evening, Saturday morning and Saturday evening with night time illuminations scheduled on both Friday and Saturday evenings. Balloons Aloft will be highlighting special shaped balloons in the 2013 lineup, an aviation-themed kid's zone and a Classic Car Display.
Angola Balloons Aloft has chosen the following two community organizations as their designated charities for 2013: Faith Community Health Clinic which serves the medical needs of the uninsured, and Compassion Pregnancy Centers of Northeastern Indiana a pro-life, faith-based, non-for-profit that offers support for women and men who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy. Proceeds from the event will be donated between these two groups.
